In this test the child and alleged aunt or uncle is tested to determine if relationship exists between them. This test can be used to assess genes from the paternal side of the family even when the father is unavailable or rather deceased. Avuncular test establishes a link between the DNA of a child and the DNA of the aunt or uncle.
